Helping a Local Restaurant Persevere During the Pandemic
Early last year, when COVID-19 made its way into the United States and was spreading like wildfire across the East Coast, many local and state governments placed strict orders on citizens and businesses. In Maryland and in many other states, restaurants were especially hard hit, having to shut down completely at first and then later re-open on a carry-out only basis.
When restaurants re-opened for dine-in service a few months later, there were still many restrictions. In order to stay open, restaurants across Maryland had to be creative and find ways to earn revenue while complying with Governor’s orders.
When Salsa’s Mexican Cafe, a popular family restaurant in Leonardtown, contacted us to design a new outdoor seating area, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to help. We were able to design a covered patio area adjacent to the restaurant that added ample additional seating for their guests. This patio area will serve the restaurant’s patrons well for many years to come.
